Mind is a Monkey

Mind is a monkey....my favorite quote and how true. I sometimes try not to think anything and it IS very difficult. Something or the other keeps popping up into that brain, always restless, happy thoughts, sad thoughts, analytical thoughts, loving thoughts....thoughts, thoughts, thoughts... Elders define meditation as a state of thinking nothing. I have tried it quite a few times. I could do it for may be 5 minutes and that's about it. All the thoughts come rushing back. But those five minutes are so calm, so peaceful. Only if I could do that all day and night. Well...If I did that then I would become a yogi...won't I? :)
